Why Hard Work Isn’t Enough
(And What To Do Instead)
December 7, 2024
Read Time — 3.5 minutes
Most people set ambitious goals only to lose momentum, feel stuck, and be unmotivated to follow through.
If this has happened to you, you might have even judged yourself as lazy because of it.
I know I have.
Well, here’s some good news. It’s not because you’re lazy.
The real reason is that your subconscious mind is working against the goals you’ve set.
You see, the subconscious mind controls about 95% of your thoughts, actions, and decisions.
So even if you consciously want to double your business in the next year, if your subconscious beliefs don’t align with that goal,
You’ll hit an invisible wall called inner resistance every time.
The result?
You lose momentum.
Feel unmotivated.
And make little progress.
This is why the work you need to do feels like hard work.
Like you have to put so much effort into the work you do.
There is another way.
Aligned Work.
Where the work you need to do feels effortless, and you even feel excited to get things done.
In this week’s letter, we’ll explore how aligning your subconscious mind with your goals can get you access to Aligned Work rather than hard work.
Let’s get into it.
Why You Feel Stuck
Most people think that achieving their goals is about sheer hard work or finding the perfect strategy.
And while pieces of those things are important, even the best strategies won’t work if your subconscious mind is holding you back from your goals.
To give you a better idea, your subconscious mind is wired by past experiences, limiting beliefs, and internal blocks.
If your subconscious mind believes that success is unsafe or unattainable, it will sabotage you without you even realizing it.
For example, if you subconsciously believe that “I’m not good enough to succeed,” no amount of hard work will overcome that resistance.
Because success isn’t about working harder; it’s about aligning your subconscious mind so that it works with you, not against you.
Accessing Aligned Work
Once you align your subconscious mind with your goals, a few cool things happen:
You get access to Aligned Action
Fear, doubt, and procrastination are no longer problems
Progress becomes faster because the right action builds momentum
When you align your subconscious mind to support your conscious goals, success feels inevitable.
I use Emotional Tools to create this alignment with the subconscious mind and conscious goals.
One of those Emotional Tools is called The Subconscious Mental Movie.
Think of it like a vision board on steroids.
Imagine handing over a Mental Movie that represents your vision, goals, and plans for the future to your subconscious mind.
Once your subconscious mind takes hold of this Mental Movie, it will direct 95% of your thoughts, actions, and decisions.
As a result?
Aligned Work.
When I learned of this Emotional Tool and implemented it myself, my business started growing exponentially month after month.
Each day, I wake up excited to work towards my goals, whereas before, there would be a lot of days when I would dread the work I needed to do.
Why?
Emotions are messages from the subconscious mind.
And with The Subconscious Mental Movie being implemented, the subconscious mind now sends messages like joy, excitement, and fulfillment to me whenever I think about my goals.
In Conclusion
Your subconscious mind is not your enemy—it’s the most powerful ally you can have on your journey to wealth and success.
When your goals and subconscious beliefs are aligned, you stop working against yourself and start working with yourself.
And remember: success isn’t just about working harder. It’s about working smarter.
It’s about Aligned Work rather than hard work.
So if you’re feeling unmotivated, that’s a clear sign that your subconscious mind isn’t aligned with your goals.
Here’s to working in alignment and achieving your goals with ease and flow.
All the love,
All the power,
