Most entrepreneurs who are starting out dream of working with high-paying clients.

Clients who:

  • Pay high-ticket fees

  • Are inspiring to work with

  • Bring out the best in you as an entrepreneur

But the problem is that it's a struggle to create those clients if they don't see you as a premium service provider.

You may be offering what you think is valuable, but if clients don't perceive you as an authority, they won't pay you high-ticket.

And you can work as hard as the next guy, but these clients still seem to gravitate toward other options.

Sound familiar?

You put in the effort, but the clients you create don't seem to match the level you want to serve.

Now, recently I've been reading a book called The Prosperous Coach by Rich Litvin.

It's a book that advocates building high-value, high-impact coaching relationships – not by chasing clients, but by creating them through deep connection and service.

You may not be a life coach, but there are still truths to the philosophy of the book that apply to any entrepreneur that's looking to create high-ticket clients.

If this sounds like you, then keep reading on.

One of the key ideas in the book is that your success doesn't come from the volume of clients, but from the quality of the clients you serve.

And Rich Litvin talks about creating clients by becoming a trusted advisor – by showing up as a leader and creating immense value before asking for anything in return.

It's about shifting from a mindset of "getting clients" to "creating clients."

And this concept clicked for me.

If you want high-paying clients, you need to become the kind of entrepreneur who those clients want to work with.

So it isn't just about hard work.

It's about positioning yourself as the go-to person for high-level clients who need and value what you bring to the table.

In this letter, I'll share with you what I'm learning in my own entrepreneurial journey about creating high-paying clients so that you can start creating high-paying clients in your own business.

By the way, Resistance Reset is now open.

Stop Undervaluing Yourself

It’s frustrating, right?

You want to work with high-paying clients, but you keep falling short.

Here’s the thing,

If you want to create high-paying clients, you need to become the type of person who they want to work with.

The reason most entrepreneurs fail to land premium clients isn’t a lack of talent—it’s a lack of positioning.

They’re not presenting themselves, their service, or their brand as the best option.

They expect high-paying clients to show up, but they haven’t raised their own standards to match.

This keeps you in a cycle of underpricing and undervaluing yourself, making it hard to break through to the next level.

So how do you break that cycle?

Here are a few ideas:

Raise Your Own Standards

If you want to work with premium clients, you need to match their expectations.

High-paying clients expect quality, professionalism, and consistency.

Are you delivering that?

It can be seen in something as simple as being on time for a scheduled meeting.

I've even met clients in the past that have told me that they can tell a lot about a person by their punctuality.

It shows professionalism, reliability, and excellence.

So be professional: treat every client and potential client as if they are your highest paying client.

Deliver excellence: Consistently deliver beyond expectations. Premium clients want to work with entrepreneurs who go the extra mile.

And be reliable: Reliability builds trust. Honor your word and show that you are a person of integrity.

These are qualities that I strive to step into myself. And it can definitely be a challenging journey – but that's what growth is all about.

Position Yourself as the Best Option

High-paying clients aren't just looking for any solution – they look for the best solution.

How are you positioning yourself?

When a potential client lands on your website, do they immediately see proof of your expertise?

Do they find case studies or testimonials showing how clients have experienced your product or service?

If not, you’re missing an opportunity to demonstrate that you understand their challenges and can deliver exactly what they need.

Let’s say you’ve worked with a client who saw a 50% increase in revenue after implementing your strategies. Instead of simply telling your potential clients that you “deliver results,” tell them that success story — walk them through the transformation.

Share the numbers, the process, and your client’s testimonial.

Building authority isn’t just about talking — it’s about consistently demonstrating your expertise.

When potential clients scroll through your social media, do they find content that teaches them something valuable? Or are all they find just promotions?

Can they see that you’re a thought leader in your field?

When you offer insights, how-to guides, or lessons from your own experiences it builds trust long before they ever reach out to you.

Finally, ask yourself: Does my messaging reflect the high level of service I offer?

From the copy on your website to the tone of your emails, every interaction should reinforce that you’re the premium option.

For example, if you’re charging premium rates, your website should reflect that with professional design, clear messaging, and testimonials from other high-level clients.

It should look and feel like you’re running a top-tier operation.

Of course, all these things are the ideal.

What's important is that you are aware of where you are now with the things I've mentioned, and you're actively taking steps to become better and better.

Business, at the end of the day, isn't a sprint. It's a marathon. So don't rush things, and take it a step at a time.

Build High-Value Relationships

High-paying clients are created through a foundation of trust and relationships.

Imagine you’re at the start of a conversation with a potential client. Instead of jumping straight to the pitch, you offer them something valuable upfront — maybe a detailed insight or a strategy that helps them solve an immediate problem.

You don’t ask for anything in return; you simply help.

Remember, you aren't closing a sale, you're opening up a relationship.

This kind of upfront value not only builds trust, it makes potential clients more open to investing in your services.

They see the proof of your expertise firsthand.

When you focus on building connections with people who respect and value your work, you naturally create more opportunities to work with premium clients.

Invest in Your Own Growth

If you aren't growing, then you are dying.

In order to continue to add value to clients, you need to be dedicated to growth and improvement.

Imagine a client asking for help in solving a problem they're dealing with, and you're able to confidently share insights you've recently learned. They will see you as someone who's not only competent but constantly evolving.

And as you grow, you're able to help your own clients grow more and more as well.

And so, continuous learning is important. Think about the impact of regularly growing your knowledge and expertise.

This can be done by diving into a new course, or researching strategies that give you an advantage over the people in your industry.

When clients sense that you're up do date and actively refine your skills, they recognize you as someone they can rely on for the best solutions.

Investing in coaching or mentorship is also something you can take a look at. It can be so transformative.

Imagine partnering with someone who's already achieved what you're aiming for. They can share strategies, insights, and shortcuts that help you avoid the mistakes that they have made in the past.

Imagine partnering with someone who can challenge your worldview so that you can break through limiting beliefs and roadblocks that have held you back. Each time they guide you, you move closer to becoming the high-value entrepreneur that premium clients want to work with.

In Conclusion

Creating high-paying clients isn’t just about waiting for the right people to find you — it’s about becoming the kind of person who they want to work with.

It's about the standards you set for yourself and your clients, the value you offer upfront, and the consistent growth you commit to.

I'm learning more and more that high-paying clients are drawn to entrepreneurs who operate at a high level of integrity, skill, and dedication.

So if your goal is to serve these types of clients, focus on creating an identity shift.

  • Stop undervaluing yourself

  • Raise your standards

  • Position yourself as the best option

  • Don't close sales, open up relationships

  • Invest in your own growth and development

Again, business is a marathon, not a sprint.

Progress can take time, but every step you take towards embodying these qualities moves you closer to creating the clients you truly want to work with.

And remember: What you want to create, you must first become.

All the love,
All the power,
